IN-PERSON CLASSES:

Pottery Open Studio
October 16-December 11, 2025 • Thursdays • 5:00-7:30 pm
Fee: $360 • NNMC El Rito campus, El Pueblito Building / Ceramics Studio

Pottery open studio practice time with basic instruction provided. Course includes firing of work for Cone 5-6 pottery. Wedging, coiling, hand-building and wheel instruction provided.
The wheel is available with some basic instruction but the class will be mainly focused on hand-building. Instructor: Janeen Singer. Supplies included.

A Weekend Workshop in Letterpress Greeting Cards
November 22-23, 2025 • Saturday & Sunday • 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Instructor Andrew Furse at El Pueblito Bldg will be teaching a weekend workshop Nov 22-23. $50 with supplies included.

A Card-Making workshop to help spread messages. It provides a unique, hands-on experience in the art of letterpress printing, focused on creating beautiful and original thank you cards, greeting cards, get-well-soon, sympathy cards, etc. Learn about typesetting and arranging typefaces, images, and other design elements to create unique, one of a kind cards. An engaging, beginner-friendly learning environment with access to vintage letterpress equipment and a variety of materials to help realize your ideas. You'll leave with a set of personalized, handcrafted cards to share with friends and family.

Heritage Arts Woodworking

This class explores the tradition of woodworking, honoring techniques passed down through generations.The program is led by instruction that is deeply rooted in historic methods, committed to preserving and evolving the unique artistic and cultural expressions of Northern New Mexico. Projects include: retablos,wooden crosses, bultos, tables, benches, and more. 

Spanish Colonial Woodworking

Introduction to Linux Administration

This class will teach students to navigate the file system utilizing command line tools for file management, understanding user permissions and basic system administration tasks like software installations and network configuration. You will also learn how to write basic shell scripts and basic security concepts.

Yoga teacher Joy Nagle will be conducting at the El Rito Campus (Alumni Hall Building) this four-week series which offers a supportive introduction to yoga, designed for beginners, those returning to their practice, or anyone wanting to deepen their foundation. Classes include, essential postures, gentle stretching, balance work, breathing exercises, meditation and relaxation techniques. Relevant yoga concepts and principles will also be discussed.
